On 20 May 2009, the 2008 national CSR awards were officially presented. A total of 33 big companies and SMEs competed with a total of 52 projects in five CSR categories:
- Employee Relations
- Ethical Governance
- Supplier/Consumer Relations
- Environmental Relations
- Investment into the Community

Big Companies category:
1. Employee Relations – Cosmofon, Project: Employee Relations
2. Ethical Governance - Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje, Project: Transparency and ethical management
3. Supplier and Consumer Relations - ProCredit Bank, Project: Customer Care – A Service Priority
4. Environmental Relations - EVN Macedonia, Project: Waste management and protection of storks nesting in parts of the distribution network of EVN Macedonia, and ProCredit Bank, Project: Save the Environment
5. Investment into the Community - EVN Macedonia, Project: School Service
SMEs:
1. Employee Relations – Makedonijalek, Project: Employees – Company's Most Valuable Asset
2. Ethical Governance – no application received
3. Supplier and Consumer Relations – Pharmachem, Project: Training of staff of the Food Directorate and other stakeholders in accordance with the requirements of the HACCP system
4. Environmental Relations - Adora Engineering, Project: Adora Park, Enrich Green Spaces
5. Investment into the Community - TTK Bank, Project: TTK Bank Supports the Youngest
Some of the other projects in each category were awarded certificates for socially responsible practices in 2008.

The National CSR Awards are organized by the CSR Coordinating Body of the Republic of Macedonia. Konekt was a part of the Committee in charge of organizing the awards. Furthermore, within the Civil Society Strengthening Project (www.isc.org.mk), Konekt co-funded the presenting of the awards together with the Ministry of Economy (www.economy.gov.mk), USAID/Business Environment Activity (www.bea.org.mk) and the newspaper Biznis (www.biznis24.com.mk )
