KONEKT was honored to be asked by United Macedonian Diaspora to help the elderly stay warm this winter. UMD funded the purchase of pajamas, sweaters and/or socks to public senior homes around Macedonia. Deliveries were made in Kumanovo, Prilep and Skopje in January for over 200 seniors. 
The elderly in Macedonia are often forgotten and those in the diaspora particularly miss their grandparents in Macedonia. The seniors living in senior citizens’ homes mainly have no family living in Macedonia. As one of the lovely babas said, “we are so happy to be remembered.” These deliveries brightened one cold winter’s day. As much as the jammies warmed their bodies, their delight at being remembered warmed our hearts.
